What to check before buying
Battery
iFixit's battery guide requires replacement adhesive. It is a different job from swapping the removable SSD.
Storage and port
The SSD and Surface Connect connector have their own procedures. The 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 5 parts should not be chosen from Laptop 4 or 15-inch listings.
