Screen and Face ID
iFixit says the sensor assembly attached to the display is paired with Face ID hardware. A replacement panel should be quoted with the transfer work; losing or damaging that assembly can remove Face ID.
Port and battery variants
The battery and USB-C guides use cellular A2301 hardware. Wi-Fi models have visual and antenna differences, so the guide is not a promise of identical labour across variants.
