What to check before buying
Memory and storage
iFixit lists separate RAM and SSD procedures. A used configuration with too little memory or storage can be assessed for module changes.
Hinges and cooling
Hinge and fan guides exist alongside battery work. A loose display hinge is not a battery symptom and can add its own repair cost.
